Trompette 8

The collection named “extrait de musique” aims to evoke, through the use of incense, the multiple tones of the registers of the Great Organ of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
The sixth fragrance, Trompette 8, interprets the register of the trumpet in a synesthetic way, a member of the reed family. This organ register is one of the oldest, with the first evidence dating back to the 1st century BC, when it was described as part of a large organ located in a gladiators' arena.
The reed registers produce their characteristic sound through the vibration of a tongue (reed) between two surfaces.
Its timbre is particularly metallic and incisive, similar to the sound of real trumpets, which enriches and completes the instrument as a whole.
As with the other extrait de musique, the perfume cap faithfully reproduces the pull of the registers of the famous Parisian organ.
Trompette 8 is packaged in an elegant wooden box, entirely handmade, which recalls the structure of the imposing harmonic cases of pipe organs.
