Even today, the fragrance captivates customers with its magical notes of Turkish rose, rose absolute, and a precious touch of oud. A poster of the perfume, dating back to the early 20th century, is inspired by the magician's tricks. Harry Houdini, famous for his tricks where he made animals like elephants disappear, fascinated both men and women. He was known in America and England, but his most important market remained Germany. The Schwarzlose family was also internationally known for selling various perfume brands. They dedicated the Schwarzlose poster for the Trance fragrance to Houdini. The advertisement shows a woman enchanted who cannot escape the seductive perfume of Trance. Max Schwarzlose, who launched the fragrance at the time, called it the "ladies' talisman".
