Bruno Perrucci

Bruno Perrucci Parfums is the independent house of an Italian perfumer who composes every fragrance himself. Bruno came to perfumery through the most hands-on side of the craft, raw materials and formula building, and learned mostly by watching and trying. He describes his early years as exploratory; later the work became more methodical, a matter of trials, corrections and consistency.

His rule is stated plainly: do not follow and do not replicate. Each perfume starts with no outside model to work from and has its own structure from the first draft. Over the years he has refined a method based on taking things away, so that only what does a real job stays in the formula. He also gives the work the time it needs, since some fragrances take months to find their direction, and he always tests on skin, because that is where a perfume finishes itself over the hours.

The result is compositions that reveal themselves gradually, without sudden twists, built to stay recognisable and last. All of them are extraits de parfum. The catalogue includes AmbeRum, Alias, Sublimizia, Double Bond, Stand Out, Oktober Lake, Stupefacente, Burn Inside and Depth of The Soul, along with newer releases such as SubliMenta and Light and Shadow. Bruno himself says his perfumes are not for everyone, but for people who choose carefully.
