Lorenzo Pazzaglia

Lorenzo Pazzaglia came to perfumery by way of the kitchen. He grew up in the hills around Cagli, inland in Italy's Marche region, inside his family's restaurant, and today he lives in Fano on the Adriatic coast. When he describes his earliest smell memories he talks about the stove: Sunday ragù, a sizzling pan, hands kneading dough. That is where smell and taste first got mixed up for him, and a lot of his style still comes from there.

His first experiments with essential oils were almost a game. He handed them to friends and restaurant customers, people who said exactly what they thought, and their reactions convinced him to keep going. With his family behind him he set up PAX Srl and, in 2021, launched PAX by Lorenzo Pazzaglia. The link with the dinner table is still obvious in scents such as Carbonara, Coffeee Passion and Pink Milk.

Every fragrance is an extrait de parfum, bold in style and with real presence on skin. The range is split into collections: one devoted to the sea, one inspired by cocktails (Ginfusion, Speachless), a gourmand line, a vanilla line, Self Portrait with Tropikalys Karma, Love & Passion, Cherry, limited editions and the Reserved Perfumery Collection.

International awards followed quickly. At the 2024 Scentxplore Awards in New York he was named Rising Star Perfumer and Sun-Gria won Fragrance of the Year; the same year Summer Hammer was named best new fragrance in Madrid. Speachless (fruity) and Black Sea (marine) won at the 2025 Snouf Awards, and Green Island in 2026.
