GLEAM is the perfume brand founded by Ludovica and Matilde Gritti, and it grew out of two places: the Mediterranean and London. The founders describe it as a meeting of family heritage, a globetrotting life and a fresh, slightly reckless take on perfume. The idea is to bring together scents, colours and small everyday stories.

The inspirations are very concrete. They run from the smell of morning coffee in Italy to spice blends with an oriental slant and the greens and greys of Kensington, the London neighbourhood. The tone is light and polished, aimed at travellers, style lovers and anyone who wants a perfume they can wear without fuss. All the fragrances are extraits de parfum.

The latest collection, Villeggiatura, is about the Italian summer holiday, with six very Italian names: Domenica, Afa, Cocco Bello, Gelatino, Camporella and Scottatura. The rest of the range includes Espresso Please, Vanilla Crush, Cherry Hook, Saffron Addiction, Spice Affair and Salted Mandarin, which cover the sweeter and spicier side of the brand.
