Lumi

LUMI is a brand from Cremona founded by a couple, Luana Piroli and Michele Lorenzin, who share both their lives and their creative work. The name comes from the first syllables of their names: Lu and Mi. Their roles are clear. Michele is the artist and art director, where the spark for each project comes from. Luana, who calls herself an olfactory artist, takes those ideas and turns them into notes and accords.

LUMI starts from art in a broad sense: painting, poetry, music, materials. Each perfume is conceived as a small work of art, and the house's method has three stages: conceive, design, make. In Cremona, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, the pair opened the Residenza d'Artista, a workshop that is studio, exhibition space and shop at once, open by appointment, where they host exhibitions and meetings with artists.

The fragrances fall into three groups. The Artistico line includes Perseo, Krea and Concipio. The Letterario line has Meraviglianza, Caffè Letterario and Illegittimo. The Gourmand line is the sweetest and includes, among others, Dulce Fundamentum and Sugar Party. Dulce Fundamentum is tied to Cremona and its confectionery tradition, the city of torrone.
