ETRANGO incorporates both the French word "étrange" (strange, unknown) and the English term "strange"; but it also recalls "tango". Thus, ETRANGO invites metropolitan molecules to dance, stimulates curiosity for the unknown, and leaves the ordinary behind.

J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin rewrites an exciting chapter of its history with ETRANGO. When the original ETRANGO was launched in 1929, it was presented in a bottle featuring the stylized silhouette of a metropolis. The fragrance was described as a "fantastic perfume – distinct, innovative, powerful, and long-lasting". In his contemporary reinterpretation of the bottle design, Lutz Herrmann evolves these visual characteristics by confidently citing iconic forms in an elegant, timeless, and urban way. This comes to life in the static images, typography, and front label of the 100 ml EdP bottle.
