A violent wind broke out, so powerful that it shattered the mountains and broke the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. An earthquake and then a fire followed, yet the Lord was neither in the earthquake nor in the fire. (1 Kings, 19, 11-12)
The sound produced by the violent wind strikes with its destructive force, tearing apart both stones and fueling flames. It is the wind of judgment, a wind that reflects absence, a wind that expresses a disorder that invites reflection on the indispensable necessities.
