Inspired by the fragrances that emerge from the drawers of the sacristy of the Basilica of Santa Rita da Cascia.

“Hail Rita, vessel of love, sorrowful spouse of Christ, you are born like a Rosa Fiorita from the thorns of the Savior, beautiful”. These words are engraved as a special greeting on the central beam of the basilica's facade.

The Rosa Fiorita fragrance evokes the olfactory memory of Santa Rita, who, in January 1457, during her illness in the monastic cell of Cascia, asked a cousin to bring her a rose from her native land of Roccaporena. Tradition tells that God heard this desire and Rita's cousin was able to find a bloomed rose in winter, among the snow.
